As a teacher in a low-income school district which was heavily flooded by Hurricane Harvey and Imelda many of my students face several challenges both in and out of the class. This year alone we have had to face challenges of COVID-19, but also evacuate and close school for Hurricane Laura and Delta. Kindergarten is such an exciting group of mixed interests, abilities, and goals. Some of my students are learning to read, write, and count. Our group loves hands on learning activities. My students are vibrant, courageous, and are the future leaders of America. My students smile every morning and are always ready to learn something new. They keep me on my toes. With the help of donors we can repair and gain where we lost. My kids deserve it!
My Project
We all know that it is not always fun to come to school on your birthday. In my classroom we are here to change that!!
Kids might not always have had the best birthdays at home, but in my classroom I can guarantee you it is going to be a special day for them!
These items will help me give each student a tumbler for their birthdays, filled with a bracelet, stamp, car (my class is OBSESSED), and so much more! In my classroom I always preach that they are safe, loved, and celebrated in here. By donating, you would help me take that to the next level. I would love for these kids on their special day (and everyday) to know how special they are!
