This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Our school is located in a large city in Pennsylvania and serves a very diverse population. The school includes grades kindergarten through eighth grade. From arts and music instruction to cutting-edge technology, our school puts students first.
The students, staff, and parents work closely together to make a learning environment where children aren't just happy but are also flourishing.
In addition, the students are very involved with community service and participate in several charity programs throughout the year. I couldn't ask for a better school!
My Project
As I continue in my 17th year of teaching, I have learned so many strategies for instructing my students. One of the most important lessons I have learned is that small group instruction is essential! It truly gives me a deeper connection with my students and helps me understand how to help them reach their academic goals.
With this in mind, I'd like to get a wide horseshoe table for our classroom!
This table will give me additional space to work with a small group of students! The wide diameter of the table allows me to fit up to six students with extra room for all of the materials that we will work with. I know the students will be excited to work at our new table! Thank you for considering our project!
