Help me give my students and the other Pre-k students a great start to their summer with a summer survival kit. It will include sidewalk chalk, bubbles, playdough and more!
I teach in a high poverty, urban school. Many of our families are dealing with highly traumatic situations. The majority of our students come from homes where it is a struggle to provide basic necessities. Our students are being exposed to situations that an adult should not have to deal with, let alone a child. We do our best to help out all of our students when possible.
Our students are fun-loving, eager to learn, challenged, and ready to have a great summer full of fun and engaging activities.
Our students are living through a historic time be quarantined at home instead of in our classroom. Our students are looking for some fun and excitement to be brought back into their lives.
My Project
We want to do something fun as a surprise for our students since we are not returning to school. We want to make our student's summer fun in the sun bags. These will be full of goodies they can use outside to stay active and engaged over the summer months.
Each pre-k student in our school will get a bag of goodies they can use outside!
There will be beach balls, bubbles, sunglasses, and other fun activities students can use outside in the sun. It will come in a drawstring backpack they can use where ever they go.
Please help us make our students' day, week, and even summer with this surprise since we can not return to the classroom this year.
