Mr. Gentz from Minneapolis MN is requesting instructional technology through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
My students need a television and computer dedicated for anchor charts.

As a second grade teacher, my school serves children who live in a high poverty community, and 99% receive free or reduced priced lunch. As a result, technology resources are quite limited at our school.
As almost all of my students are English language learners, they can struggle to put their thoughts into written words and are often more successful proving their knowledge by speaking and using pictures.
My students are eager to learn about their country and the world around them. Please help us to access all of our potential.
I teach second grade at a high poverty, high English learner school. Our students often lack the mental language structures to state their thinking clearly. We need this screen to help us focus our sentence structures.
Right now my classroom is filled with anchor charts and it is difficult for students to discern which one applies to their work.
The addition of a dedicated anchor chart screen will help my students focus their thinking and build their vocabularies and English proficiency.
We currently have one projector in our classroom and that is where we post directions for our work. We need a separate space to post vocabulary and sentence frames to help guide our thinking.
Our classroom is located in the basement. This brings with it many pipes, radiators and windows that limit our space to hang paper at a student friendly level. We can either place materials near the floor or up high where student strain to see it.
Please consider helping to fulfill our goal. We would really benefits from these resources.
