Our husky pups are a unique and diverse group! They come from very different backgrounds but yet come together to try to fit in and accomplish success both socially and academically.
I want our students to get as much movement as they can during their 35-40 min PE class and enjoy it!
You can see the movtivation level goes up when I bring out the pedometers. Unfortunately right now we don’t have enough for the entire class. They students have to take turns using them. I want to change that by getting enough pedometers for everyone at the same time. Help me do that please!
My Project
I am always searching for ways to make PE fun, challenging, and motivating. Pedometers really motivate the students. They challenge themselves as well as challenge each other with the number of steps they can achieve. During their time in PE students will use them during any activity. They will see they can get a main part of their daily steps in PE class if they just move. We could also use these out of them gym and in the classrooms. I want to create grade level challenges if we could get a class set.
I also want to have these available for staff members to use throughout the year.
I not only believe in teaching students how to be healthy and move but also want to help the teachers and staff. Pedometers are so motivating for any age.
