My Students

My students are collaborative learners who have a desire to change the world through meaningful storytelling. They love to share their creative ideas through costume, set, sound and lighting design, as well as directing, dancing, singing, and acting.

These students rise to challenges and work together to create performances that positively impact their school and local community.

We are a small public charter school, in a bedroom community, that uses limited resources to create opportunities for students to excel. I want my students to leave my classroom college and career ready.

My Project

My students need access to technology in my classroom every instructional day. Technology is used to create designs for costumes, sets, lights, sound, video projection, script writing, and publicity. A challenge I face is showing and demonstrating design tools on technology while allowing me to be engaged and with the students.

Having a portable device capable of viewing performance text and music full size, and demonstrate design skills, will allow me to teach my students in an engaged way.

I can teach the students how to use industry tools that incorporate all disciplines to create art!

I would love the ability to share what I'm doing, learn along side my students, and allow them to access tools that will inspire them to continue learning.
