This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have 22 wonderful students from all different backgrounds with ages 6 to 8. They are the light of my world and learning so much every single day. I’m always looking for ways to help them with their learning and give them the best environment possible. We are a very low income school and want them to not be labeled as that or feel that way. That’s where these wonderful donors come into the scenario. I want them to have things at school that they may not have at home.

My Project

Our class is growing so fast! We are adding students weekly and we need more carpet space. We currently have a rug, but it is not near big enough for our growing bodies! We would like sit spots for our work spaces and for our whole group learning at the carpet. The sit spots will allow for us to be spaced out so that we are not bothered by others and so we can focus on our learning. Our brains are soaking up so much right now and we can't stand to miss a thing! We are so excited to a space of our own!
