My Students

An innate curiosity fills my classroom; my students are brilliantly motivated and kind. Their inquisitive minds have shaped a classroom rooted in exploration and cultural advancement. We build knowledge and competency based on shared experiences and are driven by the possibility of "yet".

My students inspire a community to strive even in the face of opposition because they are always committed to being their best selves.

They are incredible kids who deserve the best this life has to offer them.

My Project

My first grade students are tremendously charismatic and are preparing to be well-rounded readers. This year, our class size has increased and to meet our goals, we need a carpet that is big enough to fit everyone comfortably. Our class rug is one of the most important areas in our classroom. As a part of our balanced literacy block, we spend 3-4 hours a day on the carpet together for Readers and Writers Workshop, Shared Reading, and Fundations and Rotations activities.

A new rug will be beneficial to student advancement by providing my scholars with the space to engage in learning opportunities, experience books and content comfortably.
