A Spot for Every Student, and Every Student a Spot
Help me give my students a new carpet to sit on that has a spot for every student, and four new wobble chairs so the students can have some choice in where they sit.
I work with 24 wonderful second graders from a variety of social economic backgrounds and learning styles. My students and I love our school because it focuses on creating a strong character in each individual. Our school emphasizes kindness among students, and encourages a sense of community as all the grade levels work together.
These second grade students are so excited to learn and they work hard.
They love to read, write their own stories, and discover science with hands-on projects. Learning and improving matter to them.
We celebrate mistakes in our classroom. They help us grow and develop new skills. These students definitely have a growth mindset and they encourage others to keep trying. They are stupendous second graders!
My Project
I love to teach my second grade students at the carpet. It brings them close to me and we can really focus on our lesson. A new carpet that has a spot for every student will help them transition quickly and enhance our learning.
My students are much more engaged in their work when they have a choice of where to sit.
Some wobble chairs, to add to our flexible seating choices, will be a wonderful addition to our classroom.
