Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Our classroom is a severe/profound special education setting. This year, I have four students. They vary in age, grade, and ability. I thoroughly enjoy teaching and learning from them on a daily basis.

My sweet children deserve to have the resources necessary to meet their needs.

Our room is a warm and inviting place that allows the students to explore and learn. Our class is like a family, and just like a family, we love and encourage one another in everything we do!

My Project

The rug and bean bags will be used throughout the day to shift the students from desk work to carpet time. We will use them for story time, craft time, and playing learning games. We read different stories weekly and discuss them using manipulatives. We also do weekly crafts and play different learning games to support learning.

My students deserve to learn in a comfortable, enjoyable, and ability-friendly environment.

I go to great lengths to ensure they receive this, and I know with these items added to our classroom they will achieve great things! Thank you for considering our needs.
