Second Grade is such an exciting age group. They love to come to school every day and they love learning! This eagerness is one of the main reasons why second graders have the opportunity to make such amazing growth over the course of the school year. This year, my students are coming in worried concerning the worldwide pandemic.
My goal is to help ease the transition back into the classroom and provide a safe and healthy learning environment.
All of my students are capable of learning and growing, but each in their own unique way. I teach using a variety of hands-on, collaborative, and technology-based lessons and allow students to make their own choices regarding their learning. Thank you for considering our project and helping us on our learning journey.
My Project
A carpet is very important in our daily routine. The students use the carpet for multiple classroom exchanges. My students would benefit immensely from a new carpet. We currently have a carpet that does not allow for all students to be seated comfortably during carpet time. A carpet large enough for all students is important as much of our academic learning takes place on the carpet. Students work independently on the carpet to practice their literacy and math skills. Students come to the carpet for whole group instruction, class meetings, and more.
Having a carpet in the primary classroom is an everyday essential.
Everyday my students are growing and my carpet is staying the same size. Providing my students with a bigger carpet will allow them all to have more than enough space to learn comfortably.
