I have a very enthusiastic, cheerful, hardworking group of 5- and 6-year-olds who love to learn and be creative. They love school and work so hard to learn.
Each one of my students come to school ready to learn using new and exciting new activities on their level for them to learn with.
My Project
My students would benefit from access to a cubby storage unit. Having a storage unit in our classroom for students differentiated activities would foster independence, responsibility, and organization. I will be using these cubbies to store activities on each child's level as a way for students to be able to have freedom to select their own activities, while taking up a minimal amount of space in the classroom.
Having a cubby system allows students to understand that they have freedom to select different activities that is on their level where they can grow and develop their skills.
The importance of a cubby system is to promote independence and choice for students in our kindergarten classroom.
