This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

Dear Friend, I have been a special education teacher for the past 7 years and find that I purchase items all the time to help my various students. This year, I have a low functioning class of 3rd and 4th graders (they are working at the Kinder/1st grade level). I have tried several things to help students sit on the floor without getting into each others' space and have experimented with using pieces of rug, but the students moved them constantly. I would love to have a larger area rug that displays abc's, shapes and other learning tools and on which I can have students sit in their own space without having to worry about the rugs moving. I currently have 11 students on my case roster but students are added throughout the year.
