My students need a Sprogs Kids Seating Rug that gives each student their very own personal space.

As a first year kindergarten teacher in a Title I school with many of the students coming from low-income households, I am blown away by the persistence of the students I teach. Some of us will never experience the things these students deal with on a daily basis in their home lives. Even though some of the situations they face at home are heartbreaking, they still manage to come to school every morning with a smile on their faces.
My students are AMAZING!
I may not be able to control want happens in their lives outside of school, but I try to keep as much normality and fun in our classroom as possible. I want my students to enjoy coming to school. In addition to gaining a great foundation of basic skills that will be used later in their school lives, I want them to know they are important. They are capable of doing extraordinary things. My students prove that each and every day as I watch them learning and growing.
In kindergarten, we spend a lot of time on our rug learning. Although we have a rug in our classroom, it is worn and does not match the cheery atmosphere we have throughout the rest of the room. The new rug will add lots more color and comfort.
Less time in transition equals more time for learning.
The Sprogs Kids Seating rug will be a great classroom management tool. Students will know exactly where their space is on the rug, taking less time to be seated. The rug will also provide many ways to call on groups to read orally or dismiss students for activities based on colors, columns or rows.
