Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students enjoy using technology and learning new things through it. Typically, they engage in a variety of online learning materials. This year they will have to use their hearing to listen to the daily instruction from their teachers. Our community is diverse and students have a variety of needs. The specific need of my students is to have a clear signal from the teacher coming into their devices. Without this, some of my students will not be able to hear well.

Improving the signal to noise ratio helps everyone hear better and provides as good listening environment.

When my students have a good listening environment. They are better able to spend their energy on learning instead of overcoming any background noise present.

My Project

Teachers will create video lessons and a variety of activities for students while remote learning. Students need the best sound quality to hear and understand what the teacher is saying without background noise. Background noise and interference can make listening in the online environment challenging for students with hearing loss.

Teachers who use good quality headsets that connect directly into their computers will have less background noise.

This will produce a clear sound for students listening on the other end of their devices. With a great lesson and the right headphones, these students will soar.
