This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Our Title I school is full of wonderful, kind, and caring students who come from all walks of life. Many of them participate in the free and reduced-priced breakfast and lunch program. Even though we have students who have a difficult time bringing the basic supplies to school, they come to school ready and eager to learn.
Our students enter the doors of our colorful school knowing that the staff is prepared to help them reach their potential of being college and career ready.
My Project
Our 4th-grade students need water and fruit snacks for their long ride home from our full day field trip. These healthy snacks and bottles of water will be great to satisfy their little tummies on the ride back to school until they can make it home to eat dinner. We are a healthy living school, so these items fit right into our movement.
This project is important because several of our students are on a fixed income and will not be able to bring in a snack to have to eat on the way home after a long day on a field trip.
This way all of the students will be able to have a snack and drink and not feel left out while stopping their tummies from rumbling.
