Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are 5 and 6 year olds who love coming to school and love learning. Each day they say" soak it up like a sponge" and are eager to return the next day. They receive free breakfast and lunch and many are from migrant families or live in multi-family homes.
Everyday my students are curious, share their insights from their experiences and are a community who share ideas and take care of each other.
Their love for new knowledge shows in their daily questions, their desire to reach new goals, and the excitement they show when they learn something new. They are inspiring!
My Project
A snack a day keeps the students tummies feeling satisfied and they can focus on their learning.The snacks are also available for the students who come to school late and have not had breakfast.
Coming to school to learn is important and not being hungry while trying to learn is crucial in order to be able to focus.
My students get excited at snack time and are ready to have something in their tummy. They love being able to choose a snack and appreciate the opportunity to have one. Thank you for your support and giving my students something in their tummies to help them continue to learn.
