This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My second grade students are inquisitive, imaginative, and eager to learn! They come from diverse backgrounds and non-traditional families. My students come from families with low-economical statuses. The majority of my students began this school year as non-readers. However, with hard work and dedication, they have shown a tremendous amount of growth in reading and math.
My scholars are creative, imaginative, and eager to learn!
They enjoy learning through collaboration, experimentation, and hands-on activities!
They are full of ideas and questions. And they love to communicate and interact with others.
My Project
Have you ever tried to work on an empty stomach? Have you ever needed a little ‘extra’ something to get you through the day? Do you find yourself needing a little external motivation to stay focused and perform at your best? The materials I am requesting for this project will be used to help my students when they are in situations such as those previously mentioned.
I am requesting snacks for my students to be used as incentives, motivation, and/or simply to feed a hungry child in need.
The snacks I am requesting will help keep my second grade scholars focused and energetic as they work throughout the second half of the school year.
