Help me give my students snacks to help them make it through the school day. These snacks will kill any hunger my students may have and allow my students to focus and learn as much as they can.

My first graders come from different backgrounds, but have many things in common. They are all special, helpful, bright, and most importantly loved.
Each day, they walk into our Title I school with positive attitudes, bright smiles, and warm hearts, despite the hunger, tiredness, or other struggles they may experience.
My students love school and they love to learn. At such a young age, they understand the value of education. They deserve to have endless opportunities to explore, learn, and grow. Which is why I, their teacher, try to provide a caring and nurturing environment so they can focus on their education and not any struggles during the day.
Most of my students do not bring a snack to school. Sadly, this is not by choice. Nearly all students come from low-income environments where snacks just are not a main priority or focus each day.
We work hard each day which requires a lot of their attention; however, 1st graders cannot focus if they are experiencing the feelings of hunger.
Though they are given free breakfast and lunch, that is just not sufficient enough for their growing and active little bodies. They are often hungry between those times and throughout the day. These snacks would be so fulfilling for my babies. To help support the homeless community in my area, these snacks can also be used to send home to fill their little bellies just in case they may be in need of extra nourishment outside of school.
