My Students
Protect our books!!! I am trying to develop a well stocked classroom library for the first graders in my class. I have many books, but nowhere to store them. Right now, I am using plastic crates and this is not a good system for storing classroom readers.
These twenty first graders love books. They love to read. They have challenged me this year to find more and more books that they are interested in. My class attends a Kindergarten through Second Grade school with almost 700 students. Of those 700 students, approximately 80% of them receive free or reduced breakfasts and lunches.
My Project
A bookshelf is desperately needed in my classroom to house our classroom library. The books are in plastic crates that bend as of now. They need a durable shelf so that the students have better access to them as well as protecting the books from bending. This bookshelf should hold the majority of our library.
