Our 3rd-grade classroom is a bustling place where students learn to analyze, critique, collaborate, and problem-solve. My inquisitive investigators are constantly curious and love to explore the world around them. They are full of questions, ideas... and energy!
Our class is made up of a diverse group of active learners--many who benefit from flexible seating!
They love hands-on activities and real-life problem-solving. Although my students are from many different backgrounds, they all share a deep love of learning. Every day I am astounded by just how much they push their limits and stretch their minds. I can't wait to see how these kids continue to change the world!
My Project
I am asking for Calming Colors Giant Pillows and Flex-Space Comfy Floor Seats that will increase our available flexible seating options. These resources will aid in student engagement by ensuring that my students have increased choice in their learning. By providing more opportunities for flexible seating, our classroom will continue to be a place where all students can find a space to meet their needs.
I am also asking for books and book sets that will supplement our classroom library.
My students this year particularly love biographies and they love reading the Wings of Fire and Who Was series. They will be thrilled by these additions to our biography selection. By expanding our classroom library, my students will be better able to find books that pique their interests and motivate them to keep reading.
Lastly, the sturdy anchor chart paper will allow me to provide them with visual reminders of literacy lessons and strategies.
By donating to our project, you will be helping me to create an environment in which all types of learners can be successful. Our classroom is a shared space in which everyone is welcome and encouraged to find their voice, express their ideas, and engage in learning. In order for this learning to be meaningful, our environment and materials must be suited to all types of learners. Comfortable seating options and greater access to books will benefit all of my unique learners!
