Our wonderful students come from a wide variety of diverse backgrounds and love coming to school every day. Our school provides a safe and loving environment where teachers and staff work to build a strong relationships with each student.
Students know that there are many trusted adults in the school who they can turn to when they are having difficulty, whether at home or in the classroom.
Sometimes they simply need a listening ear and place to help center themselves.
My Project
Everyone has days where they just need a break! Our students come in with a variety of needs that they sometimes cannot express. We have 2 classrooms with students with Autism and we have students in the general education classroom that some times simply need a little time before they are ready to learn.
We have a found a space in our small school to create a sensory room with a variety of tools to help them find calmness and be able to go back into their classrooms ready to learn.
Materials in this room will provide multi-sensory relief for students with adult support as they are able to get their minds back into a solid learning space.
