Help me give my students sensory tools like the Color Changing Light Table, Magnetic Sensory Builders, and calming Treehouse Hideaway to help support growth in language development, cognitive abilities, motor skills, problem solving skills, and social interactions.
Kindergarten is a special and important time where my students focus on building a love for learning, building relationships, and the ability to think critically.
My 24 students come from a variety of cultures, backgrounds, and diverse experiences before entering my classroom, however something that these fabulous Kindergarten kids have in common is their excitement for learning!
These wonderful kindergarteners arrive at school each day with a variety of different educational and environmental backgrounds. In this classroom we emphasize "investigating through play" as an important tool for new learning in all subject areas!
I believe my students have unlimited potential for growth through play using multiple types of sensory tools to facilitate learning.
My Project
Beginning each day engrossed in using sensory tools like the Space-Saver Color-Changing Light Table will provide age appropriate opportunities for motor skills practice, creativity, and problem solving; and in turn build their neurological abilities to accept other challenges within more difficult tasks throughout our day.
Little learners working on their social interaction skills and language development will find the calming Treehouse Hideaway tool important for success as they can successfully advocate the need for a safe space to decompress or work to problem solve.
Providing these age appropriate sensory tools for learning like the Magnetic Sensory Builders encourages learning through play and experiences, and lets them apply that understanding to the rest of their school day. I can't wait to see how these problem solvers can evolve their understanding of the world!
