Help me give my students a safe learning environment. By having a sneeze guard, I can have students come to the back table for one-on-one instruction when they need help.
This is my second year teaching third grade. I absolutely love it! My students start showing more independence as well as connecting with peers, establishing empathy. It is at this age where students begin to care for one another’s feelings and emotions. My students come from very diverse backgrounds, some which require that caring and support from peers and their teacher. Given the current times of the pandemic as well as challenges with diversity, my students will require more support than ever to have a safe and successful school year.
My Project
Funding this project will allow me to provide a safe space for all my students during these challenging times. Students will need to wipe down their chrome books and desks in the classroom each day. I would like to spray down my own space to keep it clean so I can be there for my students each day.
Knowing that we have ample amounts of cleaning supplies will create a less stressful and safer classroom for my students and me.
My students will have their own marked spaces with colored tape to maintain social distancing requirements while also establishing teams (i.e. red team, blue team, etc.) for a sense of classroom community. Students will also have their own supplies to avoid sharing germs through contact spread.
