Help me give my students pillows, floor seats, balance balls, cushions, and a comfortable and flexible place to sit and relax while learning and working independently or in small groups in their classroom.

My students are greeted every day before they walk in the classroom with a smile and a handshake. They start the day off sharing good things with their classmates. This brightens their day and helps them to look forward to new beginnings, new expectations, and new learning experiences.
This year our school has become a STEAM school and my students have embarked on many challenging, yet rewarding assignments in our everyday activities.
They are an energetic, highly-motivated, and hard-working group of students. They enjoy researching and creating various curricula projects and sharing their knowledge with others.
For many years students have been learning and sitting at traditional desks. It has made students possessive or territorial over their space and supplies. Today, our students are engaging in flexible seating. They are able to choose where they work and with whom. They feel empowered by have some degree of choice and control over their environment. It also allows students to change their location and positions, as needed. Comfortable seating encourages them to find their best spot to stay calm, focused and productive.
Flexible seating also allows students to wobble, rock, bounce, lean, or stand which helps to increase blood flow to the brain.
It also allows students to easily work in cooperative groups in various places around the class at the same time. Traditional desks in rows isolate students from each other. and are difficult to move.
These flexible seating materials will be a benefit to our classroom environment. Cooperative learning plays a major role in their learning. Students will be given individual and group assignments where they will be allowed to freely find a quiet space to complete their work. Therefore, these materials will give my students more opportunities to change their location and position of seating, as needed.
