A Reader Is a Leader

Help me give my students new, fun and exciting books to read in our classroom!

My Students

My students have a large love of learning and are from a very supportive community that values education! These students love to come to school and work hard every day! My students have diverse socioeconomic, cultural, and family backgrounds, but all come together each and every day for the same reason. They strive to learn not only to become fantastic readers and to be great mathematicians but also to be good friends, community members, and to embrace life's challenges as a thinker and problem solver!

My Project

These new books will allow my students to broaden their reading interests and introduce them to some books that are award winning.

We all love discovering new stories and diving into our imagination when we are reading and discovering a world different than our own.

New books on the shelf in our classroom is exciting and helps the students to grow as readers, students, learners and young people. I love to hear them discussing new books and recommending books to each other and to me. Some of the best books I have read lately were recommended to me by my fourth graders!

Reading is exciting and a gift that all students should have access to!
