A Purified Learning Environment!

My Students

My students are inquisitive and love to learn. They come from mostly low-income families. Our school is a Title I school meaning that one hundred percent of our students qualify for free or reduced-price lunch. We are an extended day school where the kids stay later than a usual school dismissal time.

Our school is located in a high-poverty neighborhood, but my students work very hard every day.

Our class has a ninety-eight percent attendance rate, which means the students rarely miss school. When they come into my classroom, I create a warm, loving, and welcoming environment where they are all free to be themselves. My students are fun and full of life. My students have a joy for learning that I help them grow through engaging hands-on activities and exposure to literature.

I love that my students question everything and they relate everything they learn to their real life. My class consists of multi-leveled learners from multi-ethnic backgrounds with distinctive cultural traditions.

My Project

During this pandemic, some students come to school without clean masks that are needed in and outside of school to help keep our students safe. The disposable masks will be given to students that come to school without one and when they lose the mask they had after lunch. Proper sanitation and cleaning materials are needed during this time to ensure students are learning in a clean environment. Having an air purifier can help remove unwanted, harmful irritants and allergens that can cause kids to feel sick, run-down, or stuffy and tired.

Our kids health is important.

If they aren't healthy, they will not be to attend school. The Clorox wipes, Lysol spray, and sanitizer will be used to clean the classroom throughout the day to stop the spread of germs. I want to be able to provide my students with a warm, welcoming, and safe environment.
