My Students

My students work really hard and have so much potential! But, it's those little things that really take away from their experiences at high school...like, is there a printer that works?!?!

Even through these frustrations, they persevere.

My students range in grade from 9-12th and have the opportunity to learn about subjects such as Introduction to Business, Accounting, Financial Literacy, Entrepreneurship, and Marketing. However, an ongoing topic in our Introduction to Business class this semester has been the sheer lack of technology at the high school and the inability for us to practice these skills in a way that will ensure they are prepared for college and career.

This year, the students have also started an FBLA Team (“Future Business Leaders of America”) to compete at the annual spring State Leadership Conference.

My Project

This printer will really allow the students to see their work come to life - if it's making a poster, creating an advertisement, or just having the ability to review essays in hardcopy that they've completed. Many of the students at WHS do not have printers at home, but are required to print their projects/essays/papers to submit to teachers.

The printer will also allow students the ability to do more thorough research because they will be able to print their research sources.

They'll allow be able to make worksheet to practice their lessons on as well as print images to bring projects to life!
