The 28 multicultural children who I spend most of my day with are extremely hardworking and come to school each day to do their absolute best. Although our classroom has the bare minimum in terms of supplies and equipment, my students make the best out of so little. It makes me feel extremely privileged to be their teacher. The children have also formed a bond with each other that goes beyond the walls of the classroom. They are very helpful to each other and the first ones to finish an assignment are also the first ones to want to help their classmates.
My students are also a very giving group.
Although most of their families do not have funds to spare, the children recently emptied their own piggy banks to help raise money for little boys and girls with cancer.
My Project
My students enjoy writing so much they have asked about being able to print their ready to publish stories for display. This printer would show the students where their hard work ends up when they begin a new writing piece. The different phases of writing start with brainstorming, researching, rough drafts, editing, and final drafts. For them to see the final draft printed, just like real authors, would really encourage them to continue to want to write more. These students would love to see their work printed and put on display like a real author, please help me to do this! Thank you so much!
