Do you know what it is like to create something wonderful on the computer and then go to print it to only find out the printer is not working? My students know exactly how this feels.
My students are wonderful, fun, and creative first graders who love using any technology they can get their hands on.
Many of my students come from high poverty backgrounds. Ninety-eight percent of the students at our school, including students in my class, receive free or reduced priced lunches.
My Project
I just started teaching at a new school this year and had a very old printer handed down from another teacher. The very old printer is no longer working, which means my students and I cannot print anything at school. I have been using my own printer ink from home to print students work and instructional materials.
The requested printer would help so much in our classroom. I could actually print students' work so they can take it home that day. I would be able to print instructional materials whenever I needed them.
Please consider helping my amazing, bright, enthusiastic first graders get a printer, so they can create stories, art, and much more on our computers and then print them for everyone to see.
This printer would bring smiles to twenty awesome first graders and myself. Please help!
