My students need an Hp Laserjet Pro All in One printer and replacement toner to create professional portfolios, scan important correspondence and print quality documents for college admission applications.
I teach at a Title I school in a rural community. Most of my students hope to be the first person in their family to graduate from high school and attend college. The majority of my students qualify for free or reduced lunch. My students struggle to obtain basic school supplies as well as the technology they need to learn and succeed in the 21st Century.
As their Graduation Coach, it is my job is to help our most at risk and disadvantaged students overcome their unique challenges to discover a path to high school graduation and college and career readiness.
I feel compelled to guide and assist them toward a bright future.
Having access to a quality printer with scanning capabilities will give my students an extra boost of confidence with the college admissions process. Extra toner will help them to continue working on the process for as long as possible. Often students come to me for help with issues such as sending important documents, scanning reference letters and printing writing samples or pictures for portfolios. Your donation will enable me to purchase laser printer and extra toner for my students to complete these and other tasks, and produce quality work.
It is important for my students to present themselves as confident and polished candidates, capable of navigating effective professional communication.
A quality printer will be another tool in their toolbox to overcome some of their unique socioeconomic challenges. Most of them will not be able to complete tasks for the college admissions process after school. We must be able to provide them with quality resources to increase their chances of achieving their post secondary goals.
