A Pottery Wheel for Potters To Be!

My Project

Our small town school district, located in rural Ohio, has some of the most creative artists within our classroom walls! Due to our smaller school size, there are not as many art class options as larger districts have. The students often take any and all art classes that are available, and it is my goal to give them more "big school" opportunities in their 7-12 art education. Although many of my students will go on to non art related careers, having a variety of experiences in visual arts will offer them invaluable life skills such as problem solving, creative thinking, and self reflection!

There's no doubt about it, learning wheel throwing has proven to be a big hit with the art students!

Unfortunately, we have many interested students, but only one pottery wheel in the art room. This leads to less access to a popular and mesmerizing art form. As I work to grow the fine arts program at my school, I am in need of a second pottery wheel. This wheel will be used by Ceramics, 3D, and High School Art Club students for years to come!

My student artists and I would greatly appreciate your help in getting us towards our goal!
