My school is made up of a racially, economically, linguistically, and culturally diverse group of middle school students who are passionate about using technology in the classroom and eager to have teachers who integrate technology effectively into their instruction.
Although my school is historically low-performing, the administration, staff, and students are committed to changing perceptions, breaking barriers, fostering growth, and achieving our goals.

My Project
Guest speakers frequently come to our school, and they often need a microphone and PA system in order to be heard by a large group of students. Our only true PA system is in the gym for sporting events, and that is seldom where guest speakers present. We have a very small mobile PA system - approximately 10 watts - but it is seriously under powered and fails to work more often than not.
With a mobile PA system like the Pyle PWMA1090UI, we will be able to easily accommodate the needs of our guest speakers with a powerful, easily-transportable speaker system.
The wide variety of inputs on the PA system will allow us to connect microphones, speakers, computers, iPods, and more to the device, ensuring that our guests will be able to present, regardless of what kind of technology they bring with them. It also includes a standard microphone and a microphone headset, and allows both to be plugged in a the same time, giving us even more options.
When it is not being used for guest presentations, grade level activities, or outdoor activities, it will be a great way to treat students to music during passing time or during lunch.
