This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach a special education classroom with students that are full of energy. They need things that keep them engaged and moving!
My students are creative, thoughtful and full of questions!
They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions! They come to school each day ready to try new things and take brave chances in order to grow both personally and academically.
We haven't been able to do science projects in the past and now's the time. The problem is my classroom doesn't have any science supplies. I need help getting the equipment that my students need in order to enhance their learning.
My Project
My classroom doesn't have ANY science supplies. In order to meet my students' educational needs, we are in desperate need of supplies. In order to give the kids a tangible example of the properties of magnets and electricity we need a few things.
The science kits and magnets will help my class meet their learning needs, while being able to socialize in the class with their classmates.
These supplies will allow me to help them visual see what is happening, while using hands on equipment. Keeping my students engaged is high importance, and these kits will keep their attention while they are learning.
