My Students

I love my school because it focuses on building peace in an urban community. I love how diverse my school is and how I learn something new every day about myself, my students, my community, and even my content area!

My school is Title 1 which means we serve primarily low-income students of color.

This school is doing really great work in my community and these kids need good educators! My goal as an educator is to make my classroom warm, loving, and educational. I want my students to feel appreciated, valued, challenged, and curious every day when they come in my room!

My Project

My students present in my class and we have a very old paint-chipped book case as our podium. I would like to get something more professional on wheels. This will help our class in learning how to present to an audience in a professional manner.

My students would also benefit from comfortable seating so they can feel at ease rather than being stuck in a desk all day.

I would like to get some lamps so that we don't need to use the blaring, fluorescent lights. They are so harsh and lamps would add to the warmth of my class.
