My Students

Hello friends! I want to introduce you to my awesome students! I will be teaching first grade this year and I am so excited! My students are super smart and very brave. My school is a Title I school in North Carolina and 100% of our students Kindergarten through fifth grade receive free breakfast and lunch Many times our students struggle with the necessary basic supplies that they need each day. I want these deserving students to have every opportunity to be their best this school year!

I want my students to benefit and thrive this school year with the best possible resources available to them.

With this project I hope to provide each student with a chance at success this school year.

My Project

Having this rug will promote student learning. With this rug my first graders will have a choice where they feel comfortable working. First graders need flexible seating and some choose the floor. The students can complete assignments within their own space on the floor. Having the freedom to move will help learners find how they function best in a classroom environment. Students will work in learning teams on certain tasks during reading and math centers. Having a rug will help students work together and collaborate with each other in a comfortable place rather than be forced to a desk all day.
