This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Every day my students start off in our Gathering Circle. After they take care of "housekeeping," we come together to discuss what we will be learning about today. They can't wait to start the learning fun. Our motto is: Listen, Think, and Try!

My students come from a variety of backgrounds.

They range from students who are learning the English language (ELL/ESL students) to ones who are special education students. The school is a very supportive school, and we try to meet the needs of all our students.

My Project

My students would benefit from having the Convert-A-Bench to use on our playground. They can enjoy a snack, talk to a friend or read a book. This resource would allow them to have a shady option as we don't have shade on our playground.

This would also allow us to use it as a Buddy Bench!

The bench could be used by students to indicate that they don't have anyone to play with. A friend could then come over and invite them over to play on the playground. This resource would make it a wonderful way to have the student practice their oral speaking.
