In the middle of the bustling city of Atlanta, there is a special place full of inquisitive artists. This special place is our elementary school and these inquisitive artists are my students. From kindergarten to fifth grade, they arrive at my studio full of wonder and ready to take on whatever I have in store for them. Art is more than just an extracurricular activity, to them, it’s an adventure, one that I am more than happy to help guide them through!
My Project
Imagine a classroom in which each child sits happily, brush in hand, ready to tackle a large piece of canvas that waits before them! Now imagine those same students, in the same classroom, but this time they are sitting on the dirty floor leaning over their artwork or crowded around a table, made to fit four students, but currently seating six or seven. The experience for these children is night and day!
Everyone deserves a place to sit in the classroom.
A crowded classroom shouldn't mean that a student goes without table space or has to compromise on comfort. Your donation means the difference between an uncomfortable experience and an extraordinary experience!
Our children very rarely receive any sort of "extra attention" and a few extra tables in the room will show them that they truly matter and deserve a place in the art classroom to let their creativity fly!
