My Students

"Once a frog, always a frog." That is the motto of our school.

First graders are always enthusiastic and ready to learn!

They will range in ability. Each will be unique and special! Some will be come to school eager to learn while others will miss their mom. Some will be strong academically but lack social skills. Some will be the best athletes in the class but not be able to read.

I hope to bring out the best in each child and have them work to their full potential all while loving to come to school each day!

My Project

A lot of learning happens on the carpet. My classroom needs a new carpet for my first graders. The old carpet is not big enough for all my students to sit on. My classroom needs a place where we can all sit together and learn. My favorite thing during the day is to read a book to my students while they are sitting on the carpet. They learn to listen, think, and share their ideas with each other.

We build a classroom community by meeting on the carpet every morning for our morning (family) meeting.

We talk about the day, share things with each other, and practice important skills like counting. My students sit on the carpet many times during the day. We learn math lessons on the chart paper and smart board. My students also like to read on the comfy carpet. Please help us get our classroom meeting place.
