My Students

We are a small tight-knit neighborhood school, and this is an amazing place to be every day! We are a school filled with great students, great staff and great opportunities to learn.

Our mission is to ensure that all students acquire the knowledge, skills, and dispositions essential to their success as ongoing learners in an effective, safe learning environment for all.

To accomplish this, our entire staff works passionately for the benefit of every child.

75% of our students come from military families. Our school is very near a military base, and we strive to meet the needs of this very diverse population. We want all students to have the very best opportunity to set goals and increase their learning.

My Project

I will be attending the VSTE (Virginia Society for Technology in Education) conference in December. Although my conference fee is paid by my district, I am seeking funding to offset hotel costs.

The VSTE conference is an amazing experience where I always walk away with innovative ideas to increase student learning at my school.

The conference is held in Roanoke, Virginia at the Hotel Roanoke. In fact, this year, I have also applied to be a presenter at this conference in order to share my learning with others.

This is such an amazing experience every year I attend. I am able to meet like-minded educators from around the state, and I always return home excited and ready to bring new and innovative ideas back to our students.
