My Students

This is my first year in my new school and I am back in the grade level I love, Kindergarten! My school hosts students who are energetic and excited to learn as soon as they walk through the doors. I do not always know the challenges they face at home, but I can try my hardest to create a loving and safe environment in our classroom.

I am very determined to provide my students with exciting materials they would not likely get to work with outside of our classroom.

Most of my students come from low income households, but still have a passion for learning, working with hands on materials, and creating projects with their peers.

My Project

My students need a carpet for whole group learning time. This will be a place to gather as a group to listen, discuss, and engage collaboratively.

My students do not currently have any type of area to gather on during whole group and small group learning activities.

I want my students to feel comfortable on the floor as we read stories, discuss various topics we are learning about, or as they play learning games on the floor or board.

Our carpet will be places in the front of the room near the SMART board so students have plenty of room to sit, talk, and interact with me as well as their peers.
