My students need a large classroom rug so they can comfortably sit during lessons and discussions. Everyone deserves a comfortable place to learn.

My Students

Help me provide a comfortable place for my students to sit when we gather together for lessons and discussions.

My students live in a low-income neighborhood in Brooklyn.

More than 80% of the students at our school qualify for free or reduced-price lunch. My third-grade students work incredibly hard, and they love to read! But we don't have access to all the resources we need for a perfect learning environment, so we need some help.

My Project

I don't want my students to have to sit on the floor during lessons, discussions, and other collaborative classroom moments. Sitting on the floor is cold and uncomfortable, which distracts us from learning. With a cozy rug large enough to accommodate all my students, everyone will have a place to sit in our main learning area, where we gather to share knowledge and learn new concepts together.

It's a simple thing, but a classroom rug will go a long way in helping me ensure that each student knows that they matter in our classroom, and feels comfortable, safe, and welcome in their learning environment.
