My students need a kidney table with a whiteboard surface so we can collaborate and share our ideas when thinking mathematically and exploring new literacy concepts.
I have the pleasure of learning alongside 18 enthusiastic, energetic, caring and curious Kindergarten children who care about each other and the world. We connect using Twitter and Kidblog. We engage with these platforms so we can have conversations and learn from others globally.
Our school is a fun and safe place to learn.
Kindergarten is a wonderful place to learn because we ask questions, make friends and explore what we are curious about. Learning is lots of fun in Kindergarten.
My Project
In Kindergarten my students spend lots of time creating and designing their ideas about what we are exploring. Many times when we are learning a new word or a new mathematical concept. My students like to explore using numbers, letters, pictures and words.
When we create patterns my students will be able to use a variety of colors and symbols on a smooth surface to share.
This will also give them an opportunity to collaborate with a peer. The whiteboard table offers lots of flexibility and invitations for my students to collaborate.
The table I am asking for has a whiteboard surface so it lends itself easily for my students to "change their thinking" when they make a mistake or have another idea. This also helps promote risk taking and that it is okay to make mistakes because it helps us think deeply about what we are exploring.
