My Students

Firsties are the best! They love to learn and make discoveries about the world around them. (The opposite sides of my math workbook are the same length? Wow!!!) It's exciting to work alongside them and see how the world opens up to them day after day, especially as they emerge as readers.

Our next school year is about to start and I'm so excited to see what adventures await our classroom community this year!

My Project

Research tells us that students need specific instruction at their learning level in order to be successful. How can that happen when the classroom only has desks and does not have space designated for small group instruction? This is the situation in my new classroom and I'm hoping you can help me remedy that!

These tables will give my students a place to collaborate, giggle, and grow as learners.

The shape of the table is ideal as it will also give me, as the teacher, easy access to my students while we work together. Through this arrangement I can easily observe how my students are progressing or if they are struggling with the lesson.
