Help me give my students a place to store their backpacks, jackets, and lunch boxes. The Flex-Space Student Backpack Cart and bins will give us just this!
My students are fun-loving, creative, and goofy. They enjoy coming to school and learning, as well as meeting new people. They also love the opportunity to assist each other, help around the school, or work with peer partners. I teach in a moderate to severe disability, self-contained, middle school classroom. I have 10 students who range from 6th-8th grade and come from a variety of backgrounds.
Although my students have different needs, they never let this hold them back from trying their best.
They give all their effort, often to learn minor tasks that we may take for granted. Their motivation and want to learn is what drives my passion to teach them.
My Project
Previously, my students did not have a location to store their belongings. Every school day, coats, backpacks, and lunch boxes would end up in a pile on the floor. These items could then be a hazard for tripping and falling. The Flex Space Student Backpack Cart will give my students a location to store their items without fear of them being tripped on or stepped on. Every student will have their own spot for their belongings! This project will also fund write and wipe number lines to adapt math lessons to my students' needs.
