This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I'm in my third year as our campus Kinder Dual Language teacher. I teach a bilingual kindergarten class in Texas. My students come from all different income levels and in past years have demonstrated a strong dedication to learning.

I have the privilege to work with 19 energetic, creative, and curious five-year-olds.

All of their energy definitely keep me on my feet. But they love to learn! Each with their own personalities have filled my classroom with so much joy!

My Project

Carpet spots is where KA spends a lot of their time. From morning calendar time to whole group lessons or read alouds, it is a space that is constantly being used. Unfortunatey, the carpet we currently use is small and doesn't allow us to each have a space for ourselves.

With A Place for Everyone Classroom Carpets from Lakeshore, you would be giving each of my kinder babies a roomy square to call their own!

This space would allow me to keep everyone focused and engaged. It will help minimize having to redirect. And by having them seated in color-coded squares will let me call them by teams.
