I love the diversity that I have in my classroom. I have students from all over the world. The students from sixth, seventh, and eighth grade work on reading, writing, listening and speaking.
The students are excited to be there and are willing to work hard even when something is difficult for them.
Many of the students at my school are on free and reduced-price lunches. We have students that live in poverty, some in extreme poverty. Many families struggle to cover basic needs.
Building routines into your classroom is an important part of classroom management. Having a place for students to keep their textbooks and supplies is an important part of that routine. I recently moved into a classroom with three walls and an accordion divider. There is one small 4-shelf bookshelf in the room. There is no storage at all.
These shelves will allow me to have a place for supplies for each class I teach during the day as well as the books we have in our room.
As an English Language Arts teacher, I know that kids need to have books. These shelves will help me to organize and display the books in our room.
