I teach 4-year-old Kindergarten in a rural Title I school, which means that many students in our school come from low-income families. Our classroom is "home" to 20 smart, curious, creative, passionate and oh-so-funny preschool students. They are a hard-working bunch who truly LOVE to learn! 4K is the first true learning environment many of our students experience, which gives me the great honor of providing my students the BEST and most exciting first year of school!
Each day my preschool students arrive with an abundance of curiosity and a desire to explore, play, and engage in hands-on learning!
Their enthusiasm and energy is truly inspiring!
My Project
My students sit at tables and do not have a place to store their personal belongings at their table. When each student gets their own Seat Sack, he/she will be able to organize and keep up with his/her school supplies. We will use the Seat Sacks to store pencil pouches filled with supplies, a folder, a journal, and more! Hanging on the backs of their chairs, the Seat Sacks will also minimize clutter and make it easy for my students to easily reach supplies when needed.
Pre K is a time when preschool students first begin to gain independence, and these Seat Sacks will help students learn responsibility and organizational skills.
