In our classroom, we teach 3-5 year olds with varied abilities and needs.I teach students with mild to severe developmental delays. My co-teacher teaches students ages 4-5 years old as well as English as a Second language students.
Our entire community was devastated by Hurricane Harvey and we have been displaced from our school September.
Many of our students have also been displaced by the storm. They deserve the best that we can give them and with your help we can do that.
We teach our students many different concepts using manipulatives. We also demonstrate where and how to organize them. Since we have a variety of student ages and abilities, we need these tools at our fingertips.
Since Harvey the horrible took the storage bins and storage, we have had a difficult time doing this.
It is necessary to have a place to organize these tools for us to execute our jobs to our fullest potential which is why I'm asking for these clear trays.
We also use manipulatives to sort objects by size, shape, and color. Many of the lessons require them to use tongs or droppers to strengthen their fine motor abilities. They are allowed to utilize these manipulatives to create with, as well.
