My Students

My Children’s House students come to me from the east side of St. Paul, MN. Within our school community, 64% of the students receive free or reduced lunch. Our classroom is multi-aged: including both Pre-K and kindergarten children.

With the Montessori Method as our guide, my students learn at their own pace, independently cultivating their interests and natural abilities.

Montessori children learn to value a strong sense of order, concentration, and independence. My students aim to be peacemakers; and are inspired to make the world a better place.

My Project

The Montessori Method values each child's individuality and their work. When each child has a designated place to keep their work, it sends the message that his/her work is important, and that he/she is important.

These cubbies will be utilized and enjoyed year after year, impacting 23 plus students a year.

They will be of great benefit to supporting student learning and helping build the self-esteem of each student by providing them their own special space in the classroom.

The furniture will also open up the classroom, supplying more space for students to optimize learning.

Student cubbies are an important part of every classroom, allowing students to keep their ongoing projects in a safe and personal space.
